About Your Hosts

Hi, we're Lisa and Brian.

We're empty nesters from the Midwest who fell in love with this stretch of coastline — the kind of beach where you can walk for a mile and pass more sandpipers than people. When this house came up, we knew it was the one.

We host Seaside Sanctuary ourselves, with a trusted local co-host nearby for anything you need during your stay.

If you have a question before you book, message us directly — we read and answer every one ourselves.

Good to Know

Questions guests ask us most.

What makes North Topsail Beach different from the Outer Banks or Myrtle Beach?

North Topsail Beach is a residential barrier island with no boardwalks, high-rises, or amusement piers: just wide beaches and a protected sea turtle nesting habitat. It's about 40 minutes from Wilmington International Airport, closer than most Outer Banks towns are to any airport.

Is Seaside Sanctuary actually oceanfront?

Yes. The house sits directly on the beach with a private boardwalk leading from the deck to the sand, so there's no street or public lot to cross to reach the water.

How far is Seaside Sanctuary from the airport?

Wilmington International Airport (ILM) is about 40 minutes away, and Camp Lejeune is about 45 minutes away: both closer than most people expect for a barrier island stay.

Are pets allowed at Seaside Sanctuary?

Pets are allowed on a per stay basis. Please inquire on Airbnb or VRBO for more info.

North Topsail Beach vs. the Outer Banks: which one should you pick?

Both offer a relaxing escape from the crowds, but they differ on drive time, beach character, and cost. We break it all down in our full comparison in the blog below.

Will we see dolphins or sea turtles during our stay?

Dolphins are a regular sight just offshore, and North Topsail Beach is an active sea turtle nesting habitat during the summer months, with protected nests often marked right on the beach.

How do we book Seaside Sanctuary?

We list directly on Airbnb and Vrbo: use the Book Now buttons on this site to check current availability and pricing on either platform.

Is there parking at the house?

Yes, free parking is available on site, no permits required.
